BERLIN’S BRUTALISM. 🏛️💥

Finally ticked the Hygiene Institute in Berlin off my list! It’s one of those places I always plan to visit, but since it’s a bit out of my usual way, I kept putting it off.

I was testing some lenses I got from @rce_foto_de and had the perfect excuse to finally check it out the Hygiene Institute, and the Mäusebunker (I’ll post those photos another day, promise!).

If you’re into brutalist architecture, this place is a must-see. Designed by architects Hermann Fehling and Daniel Gogel and completed in 1974, it’s one of the most famous and complex examples of post-war organic brutalism in Germany.

Found the perfect industrial backdrop for an incredible nude photography workshop, led by my talented friend @burak.bulut.yildirim alongside an amazing group of photographers. The contrast between the rugged space and the model’s attitude was absolutely 🔥

It’s been almost a week since my sister’s visit, and I’m still thinking about it. It was the first time in over eight years that she came to visit us here, and the feeling is hard to describe. It’s a mix of missing them, feeling grateful we got to spend time together, and already counting the days until we meet again.

Even though the trip was short, we still managed to visit some of the city’s main landmarks. We walked around the Brandenburg Gate and the surrounding area, they loved the tv tower at Alexanderplatz, explored the East Side Gallery, and of course Laura insisted on having a little photoshoot at Potsdamer Platz.

One thing that really stayed with me was answering my nephews’ questions about why I live here, whether I like it, if I’d ever move back, and why we don’t get to see each other more often. Those conversations sting a little because there’s no easy answer. But seeing them understand that we’re happy here somehow makes it hurt a little less.

P.S. Henrique is absolutely going to hate that I posted this picture of him. 😂

Yesterday was one of my favorite days to be out and about in Berlin. The summer solstice means the longest day of the year, and this time I actually made the most of it!

The morning began with a World Selfie Day event up at the Berliner Fernsehturm, organized by the lovely folks from Explore Berlin With Us (Meike and Mina). There were also plenty of other photographers around.

I even got a very especial treat! A donut with my name on it ❤️

I talk so much that I barely took any photos myself, but my friends ended up taking lots of selfies with me instead lol danke 😝

I hate selfies, so the easiest way for me is just pulling funny faces, weirdly enough, pretending to be a bit crazy makes it all way easier 😂

A quick break to escape the rain 🌧️

Lunch in my favorite kiez (and it’s not just because I live there 😄)

Then meeting up with my friends to watch Mary Lee playing 🙌

After that, a walk over to Kulturbrauerei for some photo therapy.

Snapping some random photos around the area during the Fete de la musique

Feeding her with some delicious empanadas (very important)

More street-photography

And after being on my feet from 5am to 11pm… the last photo shows exactly how I ended the day.

Totally worth it =D

I recently had the chance to visit the legendary @antoncorbijn4real exhibition at @fotografiska.berlin , thanks to an invitation from @easycitypassberlin .

A photographer, filmmaker, and one of the creative minds behind the iconic visual identities of artists like Depeche Mode, U2, Joy Division, and many others, Corbijn has turned portrait photography into timeless art. His distinctive black-and-white aesthetic has inspired generations of photographers and continues to influence the world of visual storytelling.

A truly inspiring exhibition, especially for anyone passionate about b&w portrait photography.

My inner child would be losing their mind over the amount of planes I’ve seen these past few days at @ilaberlin 2026 at @berlin_airport ! 🤯✈️

From fast jets to the massive @emirates Airbus A380. I even watched the Airbus A350-1000 demo flight, and seriously, it looked like a leaf floating in the wind. Plus, getting up close with the Leonardo AW249 helicopter was unreal.

Even cooler was testing out the Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS lens (huge thanks to @rce_foto_de for hooking me up!). It felt like having a superpower to get as close as possible to every single aircraft in the sky.📸🙌
